This Pumpkin soup gives you Grit, stimulates digestion, warms you up from within, and balances the Spleen & Stomach.

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • Pinch of thyme (this stimulates Fire , warmth in your body)
  • Chopped pumpkin
  • 2 Potatoes
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 Union
  • 1 Clove garlic
  • Grounded pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Orange juice
  • Parsley
  • Coconut Oil

 

How to prepare? 

Heat some coconut oil in a pot. Add onions and garlic, cook it and stir often. When softened (about 4 minutes) add the spices and chopped pumpkin and stir for a minute more. Add chopped potatoes, carrot and 5 cups of water with a pinch of thyme, bring to boil and reduce heat, simmer until pumpkin and potatoes are tender (around 15 minutes). Now stir and add some ground pepper, little bit of nutmeg and a pinch of salt. Then, blend everything and add some orange juice for a fresh and sweet taste (Our stomachs and Spleens love sweetness and warmth – that’s why!). Blend until soft and leave for 10 minutes. Serve with a little parsley on top and enjoy!
